MEET warren.
My photography journey didn't actually start with weddings.
It started with Fine Art newborn photography — creating photographs for parents of something they could never get back: those tiny details, connections and fleeting moments from their baby's first days.
I became obsessed with creating photographs that meant something. Not just beautiful images, but photographs families would keep, display and eventually pass down.
Then I discovered weddings.
And it made perfect sense.
Weddings are full of everything I love about photography — people, emotion, connection and moments that happen once and are gone forever.
Your dad seeing you for the first time. Your mum trying not to cry. Your partner reaching for your hand. Your grandparents dancing. Your best mate giving you a hug when the adrenaline finally hits.

I’m pretty relaxed by nature, and that carries into the way I photograph weddings. I’ll have a laugh with your bridal party, chat with your parents, help when something doesn’t quite go to plan and probably know half your guests by the end of the night.

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS OUTSIDE AIRLIE BEACH?
Not long.
I'm not a fan of disappearing with you for hours while everyone else enjoys your wedding.
We'll make time for family photographs and some beautiful portraits of the two of you, but I'll keep things moving so you can get back to your guests and actually enjoy the celebration you've spent so much time planning.
If we're lucky enough to get an incredible Whitsundays sunset, I might steal you away for another 10 minutes. Trust me — it'll be worth it.
HOW LONG WILL WE BE AWAY FROM OUR GUESTS FOR PHOTOS?
Not at all. Most couples tell me exactly the same thing.
You don't need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. I'll give you a little direction when you need it, but for most of the day I'll simply let you enjoy your wedding while I photograph what's happening around you.
The laughs, nerves, hugs, tears and all those little moments you didn't even realise were happening. Your wedding should feel like a wedding — not a photoshoot.
WE'RE AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. IS THAT A PROBLEM?
We embrace it.
North Queensland weather doesn't always follow the wedding-day plan, and that's okay. Some of my favourite photographs have happened when the weather wasn't perfect.
I'll keep an eye on the conditions, work with whatever the day gives us and find the best opportunities for photographs without letting the weather take over your wedding.
And if we get five minutes of incredible light between the showers, I'll make sure we're ready for it.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS ON OUR WEDDING DAY?

HOW DO WE KNOW IF YOU'RE AVAILABLE FOR OUR WEDDING?
For a full wedding day, you can generally expect around 900 carefully edited photographs.
I don't put an artificial limit on the number of images I deliver. If a photograph helps tell the story of your day, I want you to have it.
You'll receive a mixture of the big moments, beautiful portraits and all the smaller things happening in between.
Because years from now, sometimes it's those little photographs that mean the most.
